How to use this Word Generator
This tool is designed for offline parties where you already know the rules (like in "Who is the Spy" or "Spyfall") but are stuck thinking of good words.
- Host Mode: One person acts as the host, generates a pair, and whispers the Civilian word to most players and the Impostor word to one player.
- Pass & Play: If you don't have a host, use our Full Game App which handles the word distribution automatically on a single phone.
Why use a random word generator?
The hardest part of playing the Imposter game is coming up with balanced word pairs. If they are too similar (like "Sofa" vs "Couch"), it's impossible for the Impostor. If they are too different (like "Pizza" vs "Car"), the Impostor gets caught instantly.
Our database uses curated pairs that have been play-tested to ensure maximum fun and fairness. We specifically focus on pairs that share common traits but have subtle differences.
